VXOA - Virtual Accelerated Open Hardware
The increased use of virtualisation and the presence of underutilised computing resources within the network has enabled Silver Peak to introduce the Virtual Acceleration Open Architecture (VXOA), a new approach to WAN optimisation that makes deployment, management and growth easy, and cost effective.
VXOA takes Silver Peak’s award-winning WAN optimisation software and provides valuable tools for easy integration with 3rd party devices. In addition, it introduces new pricing models that facilitate WAN optimisation deployment and ensures ongoing investment protection.
VXOA features include:
- No hardware dependencies. This ensures that Silver Peak virtual appliances deliver the same performance and scalability as physical appliances
- No application plugins. Silver Peak optimises all IP traffic, regardless of version or transport protocol.
- Application Programming Interface (API) and Software Development Kit (SDK) for easy integration with 3rd party products, including blades, servers, switches, routers, and storage arrays
- Support for all common hypervisors
- Flexible pricing options. Silver Peak offers perpetual and subscription based pricing options that facilitate the deployment of WAN optimisation while simultaneously ensuring that an investment in Silver Peak is protected against changing IT requirements. This includes various "pay as you go" and "pay as you grow" options.
